Welcome to Explore Boat Trips! We’re excited to have you on board. By booking a boat rental or private cruise with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
1. Booking and Payment
We keep things simple! Prices are in Euros (€), and you can pay via:
- Bank Transfer (details available upon request)
- PayPal
- Credit/Debit Card
2. Who Can Rent a Boat?
To rent a boat, you must:
- Be 18 years or older with a valid ID.
- Be physically capable of operating the boat safely.
- Have a mobile phone onboard for emergencies.
For safety reasons, we reserve the right to refuse rentals if we believe conditions are unsafe.
3. How to Use the Boat Safely
We want you to have a great time while keeping safety in mind. Please remember:
- Stay within the approved operational area.
- Athos Monasteries: Keep at least 500 meters away (approaching is prohibited).
- GPS tracking devices: Don’t tamper with them!
- Don’t overload the boat—stick to the certified capacity for a safe ride.
4. Safety Rules & Responsible Boating
- Follow all Hellenic Coast Guard regulations.
- No alcohol or drugs for boat operators—it’s a serious safety risk!
- Return the boat on time and in the same condition as when you took it out.
- Balance weight properly to keep the boat stable and safe.
5. Damage and Fines
If any damages occur during your rental, you’re responsible for covering the costs. Here’s a quick breakdown of potential fines and fees:
Violations:
- Operating outside the approved area: €100 fine
- Beaching the boat on rocks: €100 fine + €150 recovery fee
Replacement Costs:
- Anchor: €70
- Propeller: €150
- Ladder: €150
- Canopy: €300
- Engine Lower Unit: €300
6. What’s Not Allowed?
For safety and legal reasons, boats cannot be used for:
- Racing or competitive events.
- Carrying hazardous materials.
- Towing other watercraft.
- Operating after dusk.
- Subleasing to third parties.
7. Cancellation and Refunds

8. Liability Disclaimer
Your safety is our priority! However, Explore Boat Trips is not responsible for personal injuries, damages, or losses resulting from improper boat operation. Please follow all safety guidelines for a smooth and worry-free experience.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Greek law, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of Thessaloniki.
